Only 30% of projects succeed in achieving their goals. Why is this? The success of a project is not only determined on the basis of the realization of the previously defined project objective within established parameters (scope, quality, budget, time), it must also be realized in accordance with the agreed upon expectations and critical success factors of all stakeholders.

The issue is to clearly identify the expectations and success factors of involved parties at the very beginning and ensure measures are taken to resolve any conflicting interests. Especially during project execution, it is important to keep your finger on the pulse, identify changes in expectations on a timely basis and deal with such changes in an honest and effective way.

This ‘soft’ side concerns the creation of support, the motivation, stimulation and facilitation of project team members and the management of the customer’s, user’s and participant’s expectations.
