Motivation
I see it as a challenge to support business objectives in a pragmatic and efficient manner with processes and ICT solutions. In designing a solution, not only the present requirements and desires should be used as starting point, but, given the great diversity of products and services, it is also crucial that a solution is flexible and generic. New market developments may thus rapidly be taken advantage of and a good solution may be employed for multiple services. In the design and implementation of the solution, much attention must be paid to the ultimate users. They largely determine the success of the solution. The continuous involvement of this group is therefore of great importance.
Telecommunication as a market appeals to me due to the continuous renewal of the wide range of products and services, so that the underlying structures and infrastructures steadily converge, which increases the complexity of the necessary solutions.
Background & experience
Already during my Business Administration studies I came in contact with business support by IT in a telecom organization. At EnerTel I could experience how the eTOM processes were supported by the different IT systems. After my study, I went to work for a consultancy bureau for telecom organizations. Through this bureau, I participated in various projects. The projects were in the field of Customer Care and Billing. I worked for instance, as a functional analyst on defining the IT requirements for the supporting systems. Furthermore, I functioned as test manager in an integrated CRM, Billing and Ordering environment. As project leader, I also implemented some releases of software developed by the bureau in an operational environment between a mobile operator and parties who made use of that operator’s network. Since May 2005 I have been employed as a senior consultant at VDVL.
Education
After my university preparatory education (VWO), I went to study at Erasmus University Rotterdam. There, I studied Business Administration finishing off with the specialism Information Management. I did courses in the fields of Billing, Revenue Assurance and Mobile Communication. Besides this I followed courses in the fields of information analysis and consultancy.

Spare time
In my spare time I enjoy reading a book. I also spend a lot of time with my young son.
