Motivation
Each person has his own motivations, his reasons to jump out of bed in the morning and to go enthusiastically to work. Mr Mes leaps out of bed for: organizational, process and IT challenges which he can attack together with and for his customer; the chance to achieve visible results, and the opportunity to receive a sincere, ‘thanks, Ton!’.
 
Background & experience
After his Electrical Engineering – Telecommunication course (1992), Mr Mes started at Teleworld Systems in a software developer’s position. Within a year, he had created a role for himself as solution engineer in which he coordinated implementations of voice response and interactive television systems. After eighteen months Mr Mes transferred to TrueCom. At TrueCom, he developed in a short time into technical consultant for Teleworking and LAN/WAN solutions. Mr Mes was subsequently asked to come to work at Telematics Systems & Services as International Consultant in the world of cable and media companies. Besides being a consultant, he fulfilled various other roles, namely: account manager, project leader and trainer. In 1996 Mr Mes made the move to CapGemini, where he further professionalized himself as consultant and project manager. In 2001, Mr Mes set up an OSS delivery unit within CapGemini, directed at operational processes and IT for the telecommunications industry.
As business analyst, functional analyst and project manager, he helps his clients with respect to the primary business process and IT facilities. Since October 2008, Mr Mes has worked at VDVL.
 
Specific expertise
Mr Mes possesses extensive experience in telecommunication with particular knowledge and insight into the borderline between telecommunication networks, operational processes and the supporting IT systems.
His focus is on process efficiency improvement; he defines improvement scenarios, often supported by business cases, and is able to implement these.
