Motivation
The dynamism and complexity of the telecommunication sector inspire me. I am happiest working on improvement programs and change processes in an innovative environment. I am happy and at ease moving in a multidisciplinary environment where different and also conflicting interests play a role.
Education
The Technical Business Administration course is aimed at the interface between technology, economy and management and builds a bridge among these disciplines. In my graduation assignment I did research into Fixed-Mobile Market Convergence and the implications this development has for those who supervise the telecommunication market. I opted for this assignment because I find the changes in the market as a result of technological developments very interesting, particularly the way in which businesses may react to this dynamic and what strategies they can develop here.
Background & experience
In my years with VDVL I have done various projects in the field of process design and process improvement. For example, I led the introduction of Voice over DSL for the small business market. I set up the processes for distribution, contributed to a more efficient supply chain and optimized the performance of the supporting systems. I also contributed to the design of a new supply chain for an IP Centrex solution, helped a telecom operator to formulate a goal architecture and improved the number portability processes at a mobile provider. Presently I am participating in the migration of a large mobile market party’s installed base.
Specific expertise
In my commissions, I have gained much experience of fulfillment and provisioning processes. Among my clients have been both fixed telephony and internet providers and mobile operators. I have learned a great deal about IT architecture, network provisioning and number portability.
