Motivation
Setting up processes and ICT systems starts with business objectives. Ultimately however, it is the people who work with it who give me the drive to produce something good. Acceptance by end-users often with diverse interests is thus rather the beginning than the end of a process. Telecommunication as an industry appeals to me due to the continuous and rapid renewal and the challenge, both literally and figuratively, to link this to existing structures and infrastructures.
 
Education
After my pre-university education (Atheneum B) I studied Agrarian Economics at the agricultural university in Wageningen, focusing on the Sector Economy, Integral Goods Stream Management and Agricultural Cooperatives.
I followed courses in the fields of Telecommunication, Workflow and UML.
 
Background & experience
My first experience with ICT was the implementation of SAP R/3 Plant Maintenance and Material Management modules within technical services. My role was the optimization of the use of the available functionalities by intervening between the work process and organization.
 
For VDVL within telecom I have worked successively on network administration in the roles of implementer and test coordinator and on transmission networks in the roles of process designer, project leader and impact analyst.
I have gained important experience in setting up a fully-automated supply process for DSL services within a wholesale business model. My role here consisted of making an IT design in dialogue with both the project manager and telecom engineer, which could be built by the IT supplier and could then be managed in collaboration between wholesale customers and operational departments.
At present I am working as lead consultant to realize a supply chain for IP connectivity, ethernet access and Fiber to the Office / Home.
