Motivation
I have been connected with the VDVL bureau since 1992 as joint founder and partner.
It gives me great satisfaction to combine successfully entrepreneurship as a partner with the implementation side of the consultancy work.
My personal ambition is the enduring expansion of the bureau with pleased and motivated employees. Big is not the keyword here. Enduring and qualitatively outstanding are. Enduring means that we make better-than-average efforts to improve our own professionalism and know how to translate this into consultancy products which our customers find can be successfully applied in their organizations.
We strive continuously for satisfied customers and colleagues while achieving a good balance between work and home.

Background and experience
I have more than 20 years’ experience in supervisory positions and leading consultancy roles in large and complex ICT projects and programs. My experience in the last 10 years has mainly been in developing and designing Telecom processes and ICT architectures for telecom and internet operators, these being fixed, mobile and cable. Also managing the introduction of new services such as Voice-over-IP at a cable company.
I possess excellent analytical and communicative abilities and know how (project) teams must be put together and motivated to achieve the envisaged results.
I am used to collaborating with, advising and reporting to clients at (top) management level. Fields of expertise: project management, quality management, business consultancy.
 
My consultancy and project management activities have included the following:
·         Introduction of VoIP services
·         Introduction of Access and IP services
·         Setting up ICT architecture Network administration and Configuration management processes
·         Project management and consultancy in order to set up management control and reporting systems internally and externally (client SLA) for IP services
·         Setting up supply, service and billing processes for bundled Access, IP and mobile services
·         Supervising various RFI and RFP processes for renewal or replacement of ICT systems and applications
·         Quality Assurance in strategic programs for mobile operator
·         SIP Exchange project management; this project was distinguished with the prestigious Global Telecom Business Innovation Award 2008 in September 2008.
 
Besides these, I have filled prominent consultancy roles at fixed, mobile and cable operators in the fields of:
·         Preparing the business case
·         Designing and implementing sales, supply, service and billing processes
·         Quality management and operational auditing. Making practical use in this of de facto standards such as e-Tom, Cobit, Itil and Extended ISO 9126
I attach much value to the structured recording of our knowledge. This by means of continuous development of the VDVL Academy and our white papers which give an overview of our fields of expertise and our vision with respect to various trends, issues and solutions.
 
Hobbies
My family takes first place. In the free time left over, I greatly enjoy participating in motor racing, listening to music and attending concerts and the theatre.
