Enterprise Resource Planning

Why ERP?
Since the early nineties of the last century, an increased number of companies has been using standard software packages in support of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). Standard ERP software packages offer organizations the opportunity of integrally supporting and managing their business processes. Initially, primarily larger companies made use of ERP software. In recent years the use of these systems has also been gaining ground in small and medium-sized enterprises.

Complexity is a challenge
The power of ERP systems is at the same time a challenge: the integral support of business processes. ‘Everything is interdependent’. This is often supplemented with the need for integration with existing applications, the front and back office and business partners.
Although ERP suppliers have invested a great deal in open architectures and simpler implementations,
the configuration and implementation of ERP systems remain complex and demand a lot of your organization and the ERP consultants responsible for supervising the implementation.

VDVL and ERP
ERP systems offer a great deal of opportunities. However, it is up to the organization to exploit them.
That requires proper preparation, persistent management commitment and clear decisions in terms of scope and configuration.
VDVL has a great deal of knowledge of and experience with ERP applications. VDVL can assist you in the selection of software packages, including ERP software packages, process design and redesign, and in the configuration and implementation of ERP applications. A good ERP implementation requires parties to be well attuned to each other. By contributing its ERP knowledge and experience, VDVL can strengthen your own project organization.
As an extension of your organization, VDVL keeps the involved ERP suppliers and implementation partners sharply focused. This way we prevent projects from stumbling into pitfalls. This allows you to maintain control and ensure your business objectives are met.
