Motivation
Theo van den Berg is a senior consultant at VDVL Telecom | Internet Consultants. His specialism lies in the field of telecommunication within different types of networks for internet, telephony and also data applications.
With his technical knowledge, enthusiasm and creativity, he is ideally suited to function as a bridge between technology and organization. He knows how to motivate others and to bring different parties together.
 
Education
He has a strong technical background, starting with his study at the Institute of Technology in Zwolle. During his career in telecommunication, he has further expanded his knowledge and experience. He has an analytical and logical intellect, can apprehend technical issues rapidly, and will creatively seek solutions for complex problems.
 
Background & experience
He has broad experience in telecom and internet in which his challenge is to make new technology applicable for large groups of people and companies. From his in-depth knowledge of telecommunication networks, he has contributed to the development and implementation of various new services in both fixed and mobile networks.
 
Specific expertise
Theo has a preference for innovative technical projects. Examples are the introduction of cable telephony, broadband cable internet, IPTV, ENUM and SIP Interconnection, while previously he was involved with the roll-out of Mobile data services and Value-Added Services in the Netherlands.

Hobbies
In his free time he is a radio ham; in this hobby he enjoys developing and modifying radio and transmitter equipment. He also spends time designing audio amplifiers. In both hobbies, his preference is for nostalgic techniques like Morse telegraphy and valve technology.
