Motivation
In the last decennia Telecom, IT and Business domains have merged significantly. Technical and market developments rapidly follow each other faster and faster. In this complex environment I am the consultant that is the link between these domains. In this role I want to grasp the requirements behind the requirements, and learn the customer behind the customer. My main methods to achieve this are:
- technique is not a goal but a mean
- a problem is only a problem when one makes a problem out of it
 
By looking beyond traditional boundaries and keeping a broad view on the (im)possibilities of technique and organization, the goals are accomplished much easier.
 
Education
Technical Business management with specialization Logistic Management on the Rotterdam College. Logistic Management learned me to have an overview of a complete value chain, from sales opportunity to after care, and oversee the consequences of a change for this or other value chains. After graduation in 1996 I followed various telecom and IT specific courses like: mobile messaging (SMS, MMS, Unified Communications), VoIP, CCNA, SOA, UML, BPM, Object Oriëntatie. 
 
Background & experience
 
Working as of 1996 in the telecom industry. From 2000 onwards as consultant for various international Telcos and ISPs, mainly in the function of Business Analyst, Functional or Process Designer. Often as the linking pin between various departments, suppliers  and/or other stakeholders. I like to challenge the requirements by asking the right questions and careful listening.  I especially like to get to the bottom of complex issues without losing the general overview. 
 
  
Specific expertise
Service development and functional design of fixed telecom products like IP-VPN, FttX and Voice Response Services. In the mobile market worked as tester and on-site coordinator for the roll-out of international SMS and MMS service centers and unified communications systems. In the role as Business Analyst predominantly worked in the OSS domain on service orientated workflow systems. In all positions I like to focus on the end-to-end process, documentation and user interaction.
