Motivation
I find it interesting and challenging to invent IT solutions for the problems our customers are confronted with in their daily business operations. Particularly the technologies and systems used form a challenge in this, because they change continuously. But that is what makes the telecommunication market so interesting to me. It is not a static industry, but one where there is much attention to development, change and improvement.
 
Education
After my university preparatory education (VWO), I went to study Informatics & Economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam. During my study, I gained experience with software development and working in a project context. In this, the emphasis was on the translation of the client’s requirements into a software product which fulfilled all these requirements. In this respect, my study therefore linked seamlessly with the profession of consultant which I currently practice.
 
Background & experience
As graduation project for my course, I investigated for a care group the information system employed and its usage by the employees, and provided advice about how to improve the quality and reliability.
Since September 2007 I have been working for VDVL. In that time I have gained much experience in the field of telecommunication and the use of different technologies and systems in the telecommunication industry. I am presently working in the design team of a Wholesale DSL delivery process.
 
Specific expertise
The theoretical and practical knowledge I gained during my study form a good basis, notably in putting requirements and desires on paper, making a design and implementing and testing the design. Thanks to the internal training I have enjoyed at VDVL, I have gained a wide basic knowledge in the field of Telecom which I am presently deepening.

Hobbies

I play football with the local association, both in the field football selection and in the 1st futsal team, to which I dedicate a lot of my spare time. In any free time left over, I enjoy watching films and tinkering with computers.
