Background & experience
After having completed my pre-university education (Atheneum B) and Mechanical Engineering degree in 1992, I started work as a design engineer at a small engineering bureau. Thereafter I also fulfilled this function in a factory making packaging equipment. In 1998, I got the opportunity to start work in information technology, for a partner of the then Baan. Given the market situation at that time, after an excursion to Exact Software in 2000, I started at KPN as a Baan consultant. After a successful conversion process, I was subsequently a tester, incident manager, problem manager and functional manager. In recent years I have been an IT designer for KPN’s ADSL delivery process.
Since September 2006, I have been a consultant at VDVL and employed on various assignments in both the IT and process fields of work.
Specific expertise
In the years I have worked in the telecommunication market I have gained experience in all aspects of the renewal process. This means the working out of a concept, making business cases, through to specification, testing and finally putting into action, analyzing problems and solving incidents. I also have the necessary experience in setting up data warehouses and defining management reports.
My thinking is primarily customer-oriented; IT must be at the service of the customer, and not vice versa.
