Motivation
I have worked as Solution Delivery & Testing Manager for VDVL since 2008. I am primarily active in this role as Test or QA Manager for our telecom clients. In this I am often responsible for more complex integration and test processes. This often concerns both completing a test phase on time and introducing a more predictable way of working.
Besides this, I support our employees in their testing tasks, by offering advice and support in the field of telecom and testing. At the same time I take care of recruitment and selection of testers, give internal training courses and work together with colleagues to further expand VDVL’s test toolkit.

Background and experience
Before I started at VDVL, I worked for 5 years at Wanadoo/Orange Broadband. In the first place as Project Manager and later as Testing Manager. As Project Manager, my responsibilities included the introduction of new modems, a new CRM system and the integration of an existing billing system with a new provisioning system. As Testing Manager I organized testing for all projects for three years (including two rebrandings), realized a TMAP test factory and had 75% of all regression tests automated.
For the first 9 years of my career I worked as a software developer and consultant for ICT Automation. As developer and designer, among other things, I made a contribution to embedded software for telecom equipment and monitoring systems. As a consultant, I realized various configuration management systems, had software built for mobile phones and network management and had a GSM/GPRS network designed.
To summarize, I have experience in the field of: Telecom and internet technology, software development and testing, vendor and solution selection (RFPs), setting up development, test and release processes, project and program management, line management and contract management.
 
Hobbies
At the weekend I enjoy being in nature with my children and spouse for a long walk through the woods, over the dunes or along the beach. On holiday, mountains are my favorite.
Besides this I go for a long motorbike ride now and again and whenever convenient play a bit of volleyball.
